We have had a claim refused beacuse the insurance company were not informed that a rental property we owned had become unoccupied. Is there anything I can do?
It may help to appoint a professional loss assessor to work on your behalf. A professional loss assessor will look at the policy wording and all circumstances surrounding the claim. (A bit like having a solicitor with you in court) If you still feel that you have been unfairly treated then you can go to the Financual Services Ombudsman.
